OUR LATEST PROJECTS
Images from Small Noses devised a version of Matthew Johnstone’s book I Had a Black Dog; His Name was Depression. Alongside the show, we also developed a series of workshops that use Clowns to explore how we construct our individual mental fitness journeys.
Aesop’s Fables was the first show Small Nose devised. It was energetic, fun, and silly, telling of five of the fables. In 2025, Small Nose will reimagine this show as part of the development of our Climate Change Project.
In partnership with Trestle Theatre Company, and supported by Arts Council funding, Rachel told the story of holocaust survivor Rachel Levy. Small Nose continues that legacy through the delivery of The Miracle Project.
Clown is at the heart and centre of all that we do. For over seven years, Small Nose ran Philippe Gaulier’s UK-based workshops, hosted at Trestle Arts Base. Mark and Jason have had the privilege of taking part, watching, and learning from Philippe’s unique approach to teaching, Le Jeu and Clown. Clown Pedagogy underpins all our education work and is the core element in Jason’s PhD research: Clowning Around with Resilience: An Embodied Perspective, which involves working with Year 6 students.
